I love Italians!
My mother is half Italian and I had a chance to go to Italy when I was in high school. Italy is awesome!
I love that there are so many possibilities in Italy. The nightclubs there have all ages mixing together. There are condom billboards near the vatican. The food is amazing, especially gelato. And I love Italian men. They really do appreciate and adore all women.

I just really hope that you could open your eyes wider and better asap.
Not all Americans are fantastic, great and friendly as you described above.
I cannot say bad things about Americans at all here.... But I do hope you would find it yourself gradually of what the 'real' Americans are in reality. I also hope you won't be this ignorant and naivè of your innocent perception of the Americans.

I'm Irish American, I grew up just outside of NYC in an Italian Neighborhood, I have many Italian American friends, I cook mostly Italian food, and my wife is American of Italian and Irish descent, the culture has mixed so that it is considered "American culture" now. I found Italians are very warm and friendly people, who always want to feed you, that's O.K, with me, I love to eat. I worked in an Italian restaurant as a kid, and we NEVER MAKE GARLIC BREAD WITH "BUTTER", just olive oil, minced garlic, and oregano, If you make garlic bread in this house with "Butter", you will get your hand broken for sure ! I got my meatball recipe from "Mrs. Pizzaghatti", and I guard it with my life, and always refer to the recipe as "Mrs. Pizzaghatti's", and never call it "MY RECIPE". Of course they are the worlds BEST meatballs, everyone LOVES them, and begs for the recipe.... NOPE ! I thought I would lose my mind in High school, my GOD the Italian girls were SO BEAUTIFUL !

I love Italian people! My father's side came from Sicily , I'm very interested in the culture and would to travel there one day to see where my family came from.

I spent about 2 yrs in Italy, travelled around, saw the sights, tasted the food, got to know a few people.. LOVED it!

if i were you, i might move to the north end in boston, its all italian-american's living there. hope this helped!
