Get a stool softener. It might one night to a day or two to work. Or try metamucil, I'm not sure if it's spelled right. After you fix it this time, eat a good balance of fiber. Fiber is found in whole grains and fruits and vegetables.

Note: laxatives are harsh and can overact. A stool softener is gentler and less uh abrupt!

the main intervention is the increase of fluids (preferably water) and dietary fiber. The latter may be achieved by consuming more vegetables and fruit, whole meal bread and by adding linseeds to one's diet. The routine non-medical use of laxatives is to be discouraged as this may result in bowel action becoming dependent upon their use. Enemas can be used to provide a form of mechanical stimulation.

Well, there are always laxatives. And, in a worst case scenario, there are always enemas (the drug store will have Fleet enemas that do the trick nicely).

As some have pointed out, you need to examine your diet, as well as exercise level, to figure out why this is happening. If you're PG, then this is par for the course.

Initailly try an enema, and a stool softener. Try to add more fiber to your diet, and increase your liquid consumption.
