I don't want to hear, "It's about time we have a woman in the White House", or "It's about time we have an African American in the White House." Looking beyond that, who would you like to see win and why?

Sorry. This question I guess is more directed to the Democrats. I ask this question only because Barack and Hilary are the two Dem. front runners for the White House. Hilary is filing paper today to form an exploratory committee.

I have to add a comment to kysteelgirl's response about not voting for Obama because he is of the Muslim faith. For your information Obama is not Muslim. He and his family are members of the United Church of Christ.

How about "It's about time we had someone in the white house who THINKS for themself."?
I hope to have the opportunity to vote for Barack Obama. He is a man with clear and honest ideas about a better America. I don't care whether he is Democratic, Republican or a member of the 'daisy' party.. I am a registered Republican, but I worked diligently on his senate campaign and will do the same should he run for president.
Hillary Clinton is absolutely frightening. Did we not learn from her time as first lady? If you study her history and her records, you will find that she is not well acquainted with the truth. Just because she is loud and vocal, does not mean she is qualified OR that she is right.
For many many years now, America has not had solid candidates with a strong love for America and it's directions. We have had career politicians who could care less about the average man and woman living their average lives. The politicians in Washington, for so long, have been completely separated from the rest of us. They have NOT been listening to us about anything. It is my considered and relatively educated opinion that Barack Obama is the answer to our needs as a nation. This nation has reached a horrible low point in so many areas. My life has proven to me that when things get down so far that they cannot go further down, something always comes along to lift us up again. To my mind, and in my studied opinion, Barack Obama is that answer. He is the answer to what we have all wanted and needed for so long.

At this point, Obama because he seems to have vision and integrity. Someone tried to convince me that he was a bad man because of some religious reason (I don't care what religion a person follows....everyone is on a different point of the same path). But I never make a firm decision until it's time to vote. Too many things can happen.

If those are my only choices then I'd choose Clinton. At least she has plenty of experience at the national level and better the devil we know. I know nothing about Obama except that he is black; not enough just as knowing Clinton is a female is not enough. People get a grip look behind the obvious.

I hope neither wins. They are both way too liberal. A Black or woman conservative would be just fine though. It doesn't matter about color or gender to me as long as they do a good job. I really don't know who I'd like to see win yet. Just not one of those 2. There are still no good ones.

I do hope a Democrat won the election but I could not see either Obama or Clinton be president.

O-sama or a clin-toon = no choice = sorry-neither. So far neither party has put forth a viable candidate who espouses my ideas of honesty, integrity, and moral decency. With every one of the potential 8,000 or so who have started exploratory committees, we have to "just say no".

I don't like Hillary much but would vote for her over Obama, not because he is black but because he is a muslim....Muslims sre raised from birth to be different from Christians.....too scary, for me....how could we ever be sure of his intentions for the US.....after all, the terrorist say they will stop if all Americans become muslims...how do we know he's not "one of those"?

Americans obviously cannot stop our christian govt. from abusing the constitution..we would have no chance....
