Yes, and no. It's something that I felt I needed to do because, I knew that it would be a while before I would hear from them again. However, what's really painful is when you really want to tell someone goodbye because you know...you will most likely never see them again. My last day in Vichy was like that, I could not find some of my close friends that I made there....so I left there really sad.

It is always hard to say goodbye for any period of time, though if I KNOW FOR SURE that I will see them again then I know that the distance will make my heart grow fonder.

yes it is very hard to do so, and for me it always helps to cry a little, it just lets out the emotions and makes you feel a little better, try to take your mind off of the person for a while until you're ready to accept that you won't see them for a while,

not really-that sounds really bad like I'm this terrible person but if I'm being honest,I'm okay with goodbyes. maybe cause I'll know I'll see them again eventually and I can keep in contact with through phone calls or email...I don't know :D

when i moved i didn't cry or anything like that but a couple of days later i just all of a sudden broke out in a cry and i could still cry about it (i haven't seen my friend for 2 years but i am planning to go to her this summer)
