I am writing a pirate book, (not published- 4 fun) and the two main characters are bro and sis. I need some problems they run into -
the girl was a slave, and she is braty and mean girl is 17
and the bro is a pirate, he is 20 and he is the captain.
they are both on the ship, and I need some good problems the two run into - like she does something, bro has to punish her, etc.

Yes, more details would be helpful. However. . .

~ the sister could sneak someone on board the ship (as far as a scenario where the brother would have to punish her)
~ the ship could be attacked, brother taken, sister has to get him back?
~ sister could be seeing things, brother think she is going crazy, turns out to be some kind of mythical sea monster (which could be a lot of fun to research).

Let me know it this helps.

I agree that you should be thinking of this stuff yourself. I think you've got writer's block right now!

What about trying this ....

Put on a CD of a pirate movie soundtrack, something like Pirates of the Carribean or Cutthroat Island. Lie down on your bed in the dark and listen to the CD with your eyes closed. It wont take long for a whole lot of images to come to you ... before you know it, you'll have the story figured out, the book written and the movie script ready to write!

maybe the crew on the ship doesnt know they're related so he has to treat her like everyone else
-person who enslaved her comes back
-she runs away

If your writing this yourself shouldn't you be thinking of the ideas?
