Skunks don't stink from not bathing.

They have 2 glands, located on either side of their anus, that contain rather nasty liquid. When confronted with a dangerous situation, they have the ability to shoot that liquid, with ALL it's smell, at the target, enabling them to escape.

Stink is in the nose of the smeller...

Skunks probably think you stink and they give you a bath in their spray so you smell good to them!!!

LOL

i really doubt the skunk stinks by default. but it lets out a stink as a form of self defence when cornered. also have you ever realised, no animals (found in the wild) have low hygiene. they all keep themselves clean; birds, monkeys, rats. in fact i think us humans are the only species that can amazingly keep a low hygiene

It wouldn't help, they have stink glands near their anus that would continue to excrete.
