How long does it take not for full digestion, but for your stomache to start breaking the food down. How long does it take for the chemicals in the food to enter the blood stream.
Thanks a lot. I would appreciate a good informative answer but not too complicated as I am no good at Biology.

Fully digestion of food needs about 4 hours. And within 4 hours the bio-chemicals in the food enter in to the blood stream.

Depending on the type of food, it can take a half hour to one hour, to start to break down enough to be digested. Medications usually enter the system in 20 minutes, meats sometimes take an hour or so to begin to breakdown.
