What do you mean by the word standard - is it in terms of economical standards or moral standards or living standards or what ?
In general Indians are not at all below Britishers.
In any way - I remember I had gone through some books which clearly says that Britishers robbed India continuously for about 400 years -
In history India is richest country than any other country in today's world. For about hundreds of years many Muslim invaders robbed India in an unimaginable gigantic way and after that Britishers ...
But India still is striving its best with its peaceful nature and good reforms.. which is highly appreciable .. No country in the world has such unique history as that of India (that's what I came to know )

If you mean that as a race Indians are inferior to the British, I would disagree totally. Science has discounted the theory of superiority or inferiority of races. So that issue is settled.
But the British have some good qualities, which the Indians are lacking in. Indians would do well to imbibe those qualities from the British. It would help them make India a stronger and better nation. Conversely, the British can learn a few good things from Indians too.

Not at all! Indians are considered as the world's ancient and an uncriticised religion called Hinduism. That made the world to feel great about Indians. Proud to be Indian.

Why oh why bring up the subject. There are good and bad in every race. My late father was Jamaican, but he never once had an issue with race, colour or creed. He was in this country (UK) since he was 15 and he died when he was 70. Jamaican people never ever use the race card either.

No,not at all,it all depends upon our nature of thinking . If we see one side of this question my answer is positive. india has produced men of ability from the day it has born .Think of kalpana chawla, mahatama gandhi, sachin tendulkar who have put thier souls and minds to bring india at top.one factor is that we have gained our freedom much later then rest of the world.but we have still managed to keep our india at a height. another factor is population and illiteracy, due to which our india is somewhat slow in its growth.now if we see this that inspite of all these factors india is able to maintain its position in the world map ,we ,at last, will have no doubt about our india !

What kind of a question is this anyway? It's offensive. No race is inferior nor is it superior.
