I think that the border police should have been exempt from prosecution. They were defending the BORDER! I don't care if they didn't report it. How do you report that you shot some guy in the *** and he managed to get back across the border? What were they gonna do send someone over to find him? And he managed to sneak back in a month later? I believe the 2 patrols that he was armed, and no one is gonna find the gun he had, it's the Rio Grande for christ sakes. That gun is long gone, or some other alien picked it up. What is worse a illegal dru
g smuggler with 800 pounds of weed, or two patrols doing their JOB shooting the guy in the ***? The Attorney General for Texas was on TV last night trying to explain how the jury believed the aliens story and not the officers. Are Americans going insane? The guy was ILLEGALLY here. He breached our security. Now that these 2 were convicted it is going to make illegals want to come here even more, and pray they get shot. The people of Texas should be ashamed of themselves, and President Bush should pardon these 2 patrolmen so they can get back to their families. I hope the alien rots in hell.

It's looking like the future of America is turning bleak. Not allowing our soldiers and law enforcement officers to do their jobs without fear of prosecution.
This seems to be a growing trend. Punishing people that dedicate themselves to serve the best interests of our country for doing their jobs.

They should be free to continue their good work.

Like I say......The enemy within will be our demise.

This is completely insane. They should NOT spend 1 day in county jail, let alone prison.

If they get convicted, good luck enforcing the borders...The next patrol officers facing the same circumstance may let the CRIMINAL drug runner through....and who would blame them?

Unbelievable, that's why so many illegal aliens are crossing the border, when other officers see this kind of abuse they just do nothing to stop them aliens and I don't blame them..☺

This is one of the most absurd cases I have ever heard of. But according to Lou Dobbs' program yesterday, (Friday), 55 Congress members are passing Legislation to free the two.

Yes, Atleast they will not be drug runners anymore. Besides it will keep the illigals out of here if they see a few bodies laying around
