Yes, it is sexual harassment. In American employment law, it is defined as "any unwelcome sexual advance or conduct on the job, having the effect of making the workplace intimidating, hostile or offensive." That sounds like what your co-worker did, doesn't it?
Tell him that you don't like those kind of comments and that, if he doesn't stop, you will report him. Keep notes about what he said/says and when and also your reactions. Then, if necessary, report him to your boss, your boss's boss, your human resources department. Whatever it takes.
Even if you HAD slept with him, you don't have to put up with that.

that is an old joke but it is sexual harassment. The definition is this..if you are having or getting unwanted comments or actions about parts of the body or behavior that makes you feel uncomfortable the law says it is harassment.
I think your supervisor is also in the wrong, either file a grievance or go to the supervisors boss.
The only other thing is to let it go. You could have your brother, father or man friend come in and pick you up from work and give the guy mad dog looks or speak to him quietly about the actions.

Thats sexual harrasment and companies are really taking great strides to keep this from happening. Because the lawsuits can be crippling financially and ruin their reputation. Your supervisor should be alot smarter than that. You can go above their heads and put in a complaint. As well it helps if you document the harrasment, day, time details who was there. Then if it does go to court your recollection of the events will be stronger. But if you don't put in complaints then you might as well just sit there and take it. Do something about it. Good luck

Yes it is. The guidelines of the discrimination or sexual harassment workplace law states that if someone even makes a comment about your body, it is sexual harassment. You should talk to an attorney. You could keep track of the incidents in a spiral bound notebook with date, place, time-what happened, what was said, who was present. This is considered proof in most sexual harassment cases in court.
You have to at least let your boss know in writing, that you did not appreciate him or her standing by and laughing and that you consider this sexual harassment by the co-worker, and that you believe the co-worker should be reprimanded. This isn't a threat, and don't worry about being fired because that would only add to your case. Keep copies of everything, and document well.

Start bringing a concealed tape recorder with, you. And keep a journal of all the times this crap has happened. Yes, this was innapropriate and sexual harrassment. Contact a lawyer. Even if it was meant as a joke, it is inapropriate at work or really for that matter anywhere.

Yes it is sexual harassment.
Your supervisor is apparently no help. So go to human resources or personnel and talk to them. If you don't get satisfaction from HR, get a lawyer to do your talking for you.
Also, document, document, document! Write down what happened, names of any witnesses, dates of this or other incidents of harassment, where it occurred, etc. This type of behavior may continue or worsen, if the one who perpetrated it thinks that you "don't mind" or that you will just sit back and "take it". Good luck to you.

he and your supervisor should be reported, the supervisor for allowing this type of degrading act. you need to find a lawyer and sue this prick,in no way should anyone have to put up with that type of behavior anywhere especially in the work place. Good luck and follow through do not let him get away with it.

Yes, it is. You need to report them to someone who is a higher up. Your supervisor has someone who is above him but I don't know the name. They can both be sued. Get an attorney. Don't say anything to those two idiots. Your supervisor should not have allowed those remarks to be said and then to laugh. He must be a jerk.

When the harassment becomes sexual, it is sexual harassment. Touching, innuendo, gestures, pet names, looks, etc... You can definitely tell when someone is putting off a violent vibe versus a sexual vibe, or when they are putting out both.
