It is absolutely normal and even to be expected here's why-- in the middle of a woman's menstrual cycle she ovulates (releases an egg from the ovaries). Because everything about our reproductive systems is designed for us to BECOME pregnant, your body does some cool stuff to insure you will get pregnant when you are fertile (have ovulated) if you have sex. One thing is that there is a mucus in and around the cervix (the muscular opening at the end of the vaginal canal that leads into the uterus). There is an opening there (about the size of pencil eraser, give or take). This is the opening that during labor opens and dilates so the baby can leave the uterus and drop down in to the vaginal canal for delivery. This mucus becomes much thinner when a woman ovulates so that the sperm have an easier time to make it up through reproductive tract. Kind of like it's easier to swim in water than pudding. When this mucus thins, there is more discharge and it's thinner in consistency. What you are experiencing is not only OK, it's to be expected. Most women don't pay close enough attention to the characteristics of their discharge to notice this difference. The change in discharge you need to be concerned about is if it ever yellow, green, clumpy, or has a very foul odor.

It's totally normal. However, if it changes texture or smell, please get it checked out. See below for some more reassurance xxx
EFFECTS OF THE MENSTRUAL CYCLE
The menstrual cycle affects the vaginal environment. You may notice increased wetness and clear discharge around mid-cycle. The pH balance of the vagina fluctuates during the cycle and is the least acidic on the days just prior to and during menstruation. Infections, therefore, are most common at this time.

The key is the color and the odor. Unless it has a bad odor or is a weird green or yellow color, then you should be okay. It is completely NORMAL to have discharge after your cycle and before it begins. You will not ice that it will change depending on where you are in your montly cycle.

you are probably ovulating. that will cause a change in your vaginal discharge. As long as it doesn't irritate you or have a bad odor. You are fine and its completely normal.
