I've tried the codes at unlock2talk.com. It was a Suncom phone. I would like to use it with my Cingular service.

Nokia said it was locked to Suncom. Suncom said they wouldn't unlock it unless I had their service. The phone asks for a restriction code.

Hi DJM

How many codes have you tried so far? Most new Nokia's only give you 3 trys, If you have tried 3 or more times, that means that your phone is now "hardlocked" what that means is that you have permenatly locked it to Suncom. If this is the case, the only option you have is to have it unlocked by a local phone shop or mail it to unlocking services. Cost is $20 to $30.00.
Reason why your codes did not work. most likely the website used a DTC4 calculater to generate the codes. Those calculaters are outdated and most of the time can't generate the correct code for newer model Nokias. Hope this helped
Cheers
