I know that its some kind of primal thing to be a Chevy person or Ford or Honda or whatever but the truth is that most of the Japanese, Korean and American cars are so intermingled that all that macho bleating is just for show and a reaction to marketing images. The five cylinder engine in GMC trucks is Japanese, the new engines in Jeeps is something developed by American and Japanese engineers. Honda is an American car now that has to pay tariffs when they ship cars to Japan. Mitsubishi cars are about as good, or even a little better, than the others but has had the misfortune of having a lousy distribution network in the U.S. Chrysler has used Mitsuibishi products for years, the Colt was Mitsubishi as is the Neon and is strongly the Jeep Compass and new Patriot. Bitching about Jap Junk is like bitching about Levis, Skoal, Jack Daniels etc, its all about marketing images and the image you think you project when you own one product over another. Mitsuibishis as OK and if you can make a good deal with one you would be OK. But the dealers are handicapped a little by availability and warranty limitations, not the quality of the cars.

Mitsubishi is a fine manufacturer of autos and many other things. When it comes to automobiles, I love them.

Many people have had bad experience with cars, just happens to be the car they don't take care of from day one. Who knows the process of manufacturing a complex item without flaws or negative opinion? No one.

There is also the jealous owners of other vehicles that call Mitusbishi "crap". I suppose they know how to do it right? So, why aren't they? Go ahead all of you bad mouth crap slinging foes of the Mitsubishi autos. Get a name for yourself. And watch out: there's always a critic to flap some jaws about.

What do you think of Mitsubishi?

i had a 1983 Mitsubishi turbo diesel truck that I bought new.I loved that truck, wish I still had it. Unforturnately it was totaled in a red-light runnner (not me) car accident. It had 80,000 miles on it and no real problems until it's death. I do not know about them today but they do have excellant warranties

Dont buy that crap! They do not last, in my opinion they are the WORST car manufactured in the world. Besides all the problems they have the paint doesn't stay on the car for more then 2 yrs.

Lets be realistic here, not everyone can afford the EVO! Thats the only thing thats worth having. NOTHING ELSE! There cars are allot worse then Chevy get your facts straight!

They have really decent cars. they are better then Chevy when it comes to reliability. they need to get something other then the EVO to bring something special like a hybrid or a diesel would be nice. Their cars are easy to modify.
