That's just a matter of opinion. I personally think it sucks and my husband thinks it does too. I hated the first one that came out in the '70's and suffered through the second one, just because my teenage freinds wanted to see it. However, I vowed never to put myself through that much torture again.
There are millions of Star Wars fans out there. So, they must be getting something out of it that I sure didn't. It obviously doesn't suck to them and I can see how much work the producers and movie people put into the movie with all the special effects and I can admire that. Still, I don't get those movies and I think the Star Wars series "sucks".

I would not say that Star Wars sucks, it is mainly George Lucas' vision of the whole series. When A New Hope came out 30 years ago, the special effects were the best anybody had seen in years! Thats one of the major reasons the series is popular. As for suck factor, The Phantom Menace easily the worst with ol' Jar Jar (I still don't get him!).
The whole story is about the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. Plain and simple.

It is not so much that Star Wars sucks. Rather, it is the people who devote their whole lives to being Star Wars fans that make it suck.

Star Wars doesn't suck at all. Well, the new ones do. Because nobody in them can act, especially the imbecile who plays Anakin Skywalker.
The old ones are genius though. I love them all.

Back in the 70s they were great but they look old now and the new ones are more about special FX with little storyline.

Star wars probably suck to you cos you don't get it. But i guess thats not new to you cos i bet there are a lot of things you don't get. Who helps you get dressed in the morning?

Because it is NOT good science fiction. Try your local library. Science Fiction should be read and not watched or played.

i think the first three were good(parts 4,5&6) but i have to agree with you on the second group. the first ones were original.
