It has nothing to do with the fact that he is half black. It has everything to do with the fact that his father and step-father were both Muslim. Up until he moved to Hawaii when he was ten years old, it is a fact he lived in Indonesia and attended a Muslim School. That should be enough for moderate thinking people. Do we want someone who was raised to believe in Islam in the White House. These are the people who are waging a holy war against us right now. Enough said.

No it's not the government doing this, it's just that the name rhymes obama/osama, besides the guy is a muslim and we don't want a muslim in the white house..âº

I think mainly people are just joking.
However, there are some ignoramuses that are serious: if people in this country don't vote for him simply because his name rhymes with "Osama," then they are complete idiots. Most likely these will be the same redneck, red-state-living sheep that fell victim to Bush's lies and exaggerations. They'll believe anything.

Osama rhymes with Obama. I think that's the only reason.

Because this country fears that a black man may control the ultimate power and if calling him outside of his name will undermine his potential than so be it.

To demean him and to slur his name, sad that these tactics are being used. Glenn Beck said on his show last night that he went to an extremist muslim school, completely unsubstantiated.

When people want to discredit someone, a quick and easy way is to try to link that person with someone horrible. It's a cheap shot.

I think that it was Fox news that "accidentally" put that under a video of him while he was giving a speech.

because conservatives are afraid of him and the best way to discredit a democrat is to say that they are soft on terrorism (which is not true)
