If I remember correctly the term warlock actually defines a person of evil intents. This is referred to by pagan religion mainly. Whereas all members male and female are witches. A warlock in pagan religion is bad.
In the christian world warlock means male witch and witch means female witch. Both of them are looked down upon.

It means dishonorable, an oath breaker, untrustworthy. many people use this term to mean male witch. A witch can be male or female. Calling someone a Warlock is a bit like saying 'you're an a*shole'

Because Warlock means oath breaker and people get insulted when you call them that. Wouldn't you? A male witch is just that... a male witch.

Warlock is a male witch. Not to be confused with a wizard.

Strawman. No one does.
But some of us love the Lord Jesus Christ and hate even the appearance of witchcraft.
I hope this helps.
