Not really. I believe the ultimate goal in life is to have a good and noble soul. If we manage to do so, we will be loved and accepted. If our only goals are to be loved and accepted, that means that we are selfish, and therefore not worthy of God's love.

I believe the ultimate goal in life is find inner peace / peace of mind. Imagine what one could do if they were at total peace with themselves. You would be living in such harmony, you'd find any other negative emotion difficult to experience.
Feeling loved is a totally normal desire, we all have it, and having love in ones life can be very rewarding.
But being accepted I do not believe is necessary.
As long as I can accept myself, love myself .. well then I don't care whether others accept me.
Good Question though

I think that each person's goal in life is completely different. If this is yours, then yes.
I think we each have to find our own goals based on what is important to us and what we want to leave behind for the next generation (if anything). Love and acceptance is nice, but it doesn't really leave anything behind.
Maybe its achieving something positive using the love and acceptance you have gained that should be a person's life goal.

No - those things are essential in attaining goals, but i certainly hope people can achieve a bit more than to be loved and accepted - there seems to be more important issues to address.

Yeah! It is truly the roots of most peoples existance those who dont are labeled yet still seek the same within their labeling. If there is more to life you will have to find it after you feel accepted hopefully that is possible.

No.
You are putting the onus on others. You need to find your happiness or purpose within yourself, not from others. What if your entire family is nutty? What if they never love and accept you? Sure you can find love and aceptance at work, or with friends or whatever, but all of that is irrelevant. You have to love and accept yourself.
