http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

I wouldn't say that limewire is a load of crap. I use the free version and I have over 115 gigs of music. And copy and paste it right into limewire.

With any person to person file sharing which is what limewire is...there is always a risk of getting a bad file.
But this is why people need to use common sense and scan the file for virus before opening it.
I've been using Limewire for years and never once got a virus.

We use Limewire all the time and have never had a problem. The key for downloading any music is to make sure you scan it for viruses before you play it.

Limewire is full of viruses and spywear. It cost me a lot of money to have a vicious virus removed from my computer using that site. Try this site instead

My stepson keeps downloading and installing Limewire, and invariably the computer gets infected. I finally ended up writing a program that would kill the process if it ever started up.

Regardless of what you use, stay away from Limewire.
