Okay, I am doing a Research paper on the John Whipple House in Ipswich, Massachusettes. The question is: Please put into historical context the importance of your site to the social, poltical, OR economic develpment of essex county and the United States. (I am not writing about the the importance of the House. I am writing about the people that lived in it and what they did to make it important). but im still not getting it fully. Can anyone reprhase this question? i am not quite getting it. and any information about this or tips would be very good.

I think you have it right already! The house itself is irrelevant. What happened in the house, what became of the people who lived there, and what impact they had on their neighbors, town, and country are what matters. What decisions were made in that house? How did they impact the rest of society or the direction of the country? What were the short and long term implications of their actions? Do any of them reverberate today? Think about the results of your research within that context and see what you come up with.
