It depends.

If you have a trash bin, they may be in there.

Some mail engines let you recover stuff from trash even after you delete it.

Exchange servers let you undelete deleted mails from any folder up to a limit set by the Exchange administrator.

It really depends on the method you're using to read your email. If you're using Outlook Express, then it may be possible that the email you're looking for is still on your email server.

Can you connect and get your email via a browser? If so, see if they were only deleted in OE and not on the server.

Chances are slim they can be recovered.

If it is business related you might talk to your system administrator as businesses back up on a daily basis.

If it is because you are digging up dirt on someone, Yes it can be done as most email and websites are saved in the system DAT files. You just need special software to read them. This is not an exercise for the novice.
