I heard of this brilliant theory and am believing it. Memories are put into 3 categories by your brain: -Insignificant, -Somewhat important and -Life-changing experience. Insignificants last for mere seconds. Second lasts longer, for a couple of days or a week maybe. Most important ones are stamped on your brain with hot glowing iron, so they stay there for years. Of course, all memories fade slowly and become unclear over time.
