The Colts. Here's why:

1. The game is in Indianapolis. Home field is an advantage in general, but the RCA Dome can get very loud.
2. The Colts defense. It was one of the worst in the regular season, but former pro-bowler safety Bob Sanders has been injured most of the season but has been back in the playoffs. He is their emotional leader and best player. The defense has also been motivated to tackle better because of how important the playoff games are, and the crowd noise will also help give them a boost.
3. The Pats' defensive coordinator, Bill Belichick, is a genius, and in past meetings has given Peyton fits. But there is the sense that there is nothing new that he can show to confuse Peyton, and further, Belichick just doesn't have the talent he used to have, especially in the secondary.
4. Peyton is the best QB of his era, and has two pro-bowl WRs, plus a really good TE, but even if he isn't on the top of his game (as it often seems when he plays in the playoffs) the Colts run offense is really good. The stretch play that the Colts run should be really successful against the slow Patriots linebackers.
5. The Colts now have Adam Vinatieri as their kicker. In the past matchups against the Patriots, the Patriots had the best clutch kicker in history. Now the Colts have him.

For the Patriots to win, they have to hope the Colts run defense returns to regular season form, and that Peyton makes plenty of mistakes. Plus the other advantages above would have to be neutralized. In my opinion, that is too much to ask.

I will predict Colts 26 Patriots 17 (yep, 4 more Vinatieri FGs).

Chris Berman said, " The Colts are gonna win by a landslide". The reason: the Colts offense really hasn't "produced" like they should. No TD's... the game against the Ravens was won by the defense and Vinatieri. Colts will win...

My prediction:
Colts - 28
Patriots - 10

The Patriots will win by more than 10 points, because of two major factors. First, they will show Indy a running attack that will be harder to stop. Secondly, the N.E. defense is largely healthy, and operating with a high degree of efficiency.

The running game will force Indy's defense to spread out, allowing Dillon, and especially Maroney, room to operate. Maroney is very strong, fast, and elusive. The N.E. defense is tricky. They conceal what they are doing quite well. Manning, who is a great player, cannot win games by himself. If his line can't protect him, he can't be expected to make the plays needed for Indy to win.

Also, don't be surprised if the first half is close. I expect a three point gap at the half, with Indy very likely in the lead. N.E. seems to use the first half for "exploratory surgery." before they dissect their opponents in the second half. Basically, they poke and prod the other team, checking for reactions and soft spots. Adjustments are made at half time and the rest is inevitable.
