I did not know who founded Yale University until you asked the question. However, I looked it up and I find that you are wrong.
Elihu Yale is NOT the founder of Yale. He donated money to THE COLLEGIATE SCHOOL founded by the Congregationalist minister, James Pierpont, and others. Because Mr. Yale made a huge financial contribution to the school, the founders changed the name to Yale College.
