an introvert is someone who would rather stay at home and read a book than go to the mall, the person is not that interested in being in the limelight and is reletavily quite and shy
an extrovert is a person who loves being the center of attraction they are loud and spontaneous and always attention seeking, they are not shy at all and would rather go to the mall where the action is than sit at home and read a book

most of the people i read that answered this says"shy"or "not shy".that could be true or not.an introvert is someone who really doesn't get out to be with others,more or less,it is that they prefer solitude or small company.it can mean shy,but not necessarily.a loner,if you will.extroverts like being out,seen,and heard.the generally like to be"the life of the party"so to speak
