Believe it or not, paypal online. You have to have the account for 2 months before they let you get a bank card. You can transfer money from a regular account to paypal. If it's just to save and not spend, yeah, they pay great interest. Or a labor union pension account. I don't kow if you can add your own funds though.

Even the highest interest paid by banks to savings accounts is nearly negligable (on the order of hundreths of a percent). For high yield you must invest in higher risk activities such as stocks, commodities and the like.

If you still want access to your money, check out money market accounts, which could have higher rates than savings, depending on the bank.
If you can put away your money for a year or so, think about a CD.
If your cash amount is large, consider stocks and/or bonds. American Funds has been returning at about 9-10%. (Growth Fund or Capital Builder).

Hiya,
I was shopping around myself a few weeks ago and found Barclays to be the best. This is only the case though if you already have an account with them. You are required to make monthly payments for 12 months and cannot withdraw for this period, the bonus is that they pay 12.5 % interest!!
