If anything i find a lot of celeb endorsements turn me off products. I find myself saying "yea right!! You make 50 million a year and you're dying your hair with 5$ clariol". Maybe i'm jaded and cynical, but that is how i often see it. But yes, it is a age thing. The largest cash flow/consumers is teens and young twenties, so most of these ads are aimed at the group with the accessable cash.

If I think the celebrity is credible I am definetly more likely to buy the product. Movies for example, I will go see Will Ferrell because he has made alot of funny films. On the otherhand, Paris Hilton eating a hamburger in a bikini makes me think negatively about Carl Jrs. She looked great but the commercial was over the top and degrading to women. If Peyton Manning loses this weekendk, I won't buy any product he endorses!

A celebrity's endorsement of a product does not affect me at all. Nor does their political raving.

Just because someone is a celebrity it does not make them intelligent.

For example Paris Hilton... She is a celebrity because she comes from a wealthy family, but she had nothing to do with the creation of that wealth. Would you consider Paris Hilton an intellect whose advice should be followed?

Celebrity endorsements have never affected me in any way. Whether it's selling something or politics, they're just people like the rest of us so, being that I don't really know them on a personal level, their opinion doesn't mean squat to me.

Bono has definitley brought to my attention (in a way) the poverty and AIDs epidemic in Africa. if my favorite frontman wasn't out there persuading people to support the cause i wouldn't have even given a second thought to it.
