Absolutely! My friend from Germany says that her family has terrible misconceptions about America, including the belief that 9/11 was an inside job. The news they get regarding the United States comes from CNN, Reuters or the BBC, and every one of those news organizations have been caught displaying antiamerican bias.

I think it is part of the problem owing to the fact that it creates a negative perception and people are easily led. Media reporting in the United States denies the sentiment of the majority in this country. Most people love this country and all she stands for, but these are not the opinions which are reported. However, I think it only accounts for a part of the problem. Anti-American sentiment is not new, it has always existed. The difference now is in the exposure to information. With 24 hour worldwide media and the Internet we are exposed to a greater range of opinion from more sources making it appear that the problem is growing when in reality it is just more obvious.

Certainly doesn't help does it? I really love it when America sends humanitarian aide, millions of dollars etc to a tragic event in a foreign country and it's reported that we are NOT doing enough.
Personally, I'd rather see a report more like this: "In the aftermath of the 7.6 earthquake in Paris, Americans are sending their prayers to the people of France. Legislation passed last month prohibits the US from sending relief to those countries who do NOT support us. President XXXXX is meeting with foreign leaders to urge THEIR support for the people of Paris....."
Of course private individuals and companies could still continue to fund relief efforts, but the US should spend the money we send in foreign aid on domestic programs.
Given the way the world perceives us-I do think we need to mind our OWN business. Lets stay out of other countries affairs- unless of course they're threatening us.

a number of those solutions are asserting that the haters are the Christians. Jesus mentioned, ....the international could hate us. the international which skill non believers. they do no longer understand and could no longer settle for. so they hate us. He grow to be hated. And all He did grow to be love. i'm uncertain why you assert Christians are behaving in a hateful way. in many situations a Christian's answer could look hateful although that's in retaliation to an unpleasant commentary or insult to our God. it extremely is not ourselves we are protecting, yet our God. And that scripture is easily a fulfilled prophecy. we are hated. yet, it extremely is okay! God loves us, and He loves even the non believer.

True enough. How can I respect america over here when there is so much anti-republicanism, so much intolerance between race, so much bickering between its party lines?
I don't, at least I don't respect it for that. What I DO respect america for is their friendliness, their open-mindedness and their new ideas. If people want to see america for its good side they can go over there and see for themselves, like I did
You can't blame people for 'dividing the country' if they have a difference of an opinion and make a youtube video out of it. That is, as americans, your right, to say whatever the hell you want. So what do you expect.

If you think that the mainstream media is against the Iraq war, you'd freak out if you heard what people are saying about the war here in Japan.
