if so how much time? Felony or misdemeanor?Should they be put on a special catagory of the sex offender list so others would be able to see they have a tendency for cheating?

Yes, that's a great idea. It should be a misdemeanor though! And yes, I think they should be put on the sex offender list! Maybe that would stop people from messing around and spreading STDs!!

Where i come from you do go to Jail if you get caught cheating but you have to be caught in the act, so to me it's not a strange idea hearing about this. Maybe it can be a misdemeanor???

Moral jail perhaps. It is a crime against another human being who trusted them and they violated the relationship.
I don't understand just not being honest to your spouse which at one time you couldn't keep your hands off and promised the world to them.
When things get to where someone is going to cheat on their mate then just come out and tell the person that it is emotionally over between them. Don't make them suffer w/finding out and being really violated and hurt.

I saw on TV where Michigan is enforcing that..weird huh?I don't know..yes & no...It is a hellova thing to do worthy of a conviction, but its also an intrusion on ones privacy..If enforced I'd say a misdemeanor at best..nothing more.

HA!
No way!
Who said adultery was wrong?
There are no laws against it in the United States that I can recollect.
besides...are we going to put everyone in jail that has made and then broken a promise? If we are going to punish someone for breaking promises...why just stop at one particular promise?
Cause in that case...my mom promised me a pony...I never got it.
My best friend said she would always be there for me....she wasn't.
lol
But, i can understand your frustration.Honestly.

Jail is for people that break a criminal law... and that's how it should stay issues with cheating mates have nothing to do with the law and how its enforced, so no I don't think it should be even remotely considered in any category of the law.

Yes, but not in a regular jail, it should be a special co-ed jail for adulterers & adultresses.

no, but the spouse who was cheated on ought to be able to mow them over with an SUV, back and forth, until their lifeless body is flattened to the pavement.
