Well, it would have to be warm, sunny but not humid, surrounded by the ocean (preferably the Pacific). Not arid, but with enough rainfall to promote lush vegetation. Mountains would be good, too. Oh, and the language would have to be English because I think it would be impossible to integrate fully if you couldn't communicate effectively, and English is the only language I know (the school I attended thought young ladies should learn shorthand, typing and bookkeeping - foreign languages were not an option). It would also be helpful if traffic drove on the right side of the road - by that I mean the left hand side - although that wouldn't be a critical factor.

So, given all that, I reckon it would have to be the island of Maui (Hawaii). Been there twice, on holiday, and it was just so laid-back folks seemed horizontal! Wonderful place.

If money were not a factor, I would move Great Britain a little futher south - we have a great country, that could simply do with being a bit warmer.

The way the world is going I think I'll stay here in good ol' Canada. I would LOVE to go somewhere in the UK but I want to come home again. I would take the money and buy a house.

I'd stay right here, St. Louis Missouri USA. This is a beautiful town, in easy driving distance of just about everywhere. We have affordable housing, good jobs, you can live in the country and be in a city in 30mins, and good decent hardworking Midwestern people. Why live anywhere else?

I would live on Rockall. No taxes, no noisy neighbours - and Britain and Ireland arguing over sovereignty, so no government.
Only drawback is would cost a fortune in wild bird seed !
