I work on a college campus not far from home. I thought it might be nice to walk home, but the walk is too difficult.

I work only until 3:00. What could I do before I get into the car to come home?

Why do u dred so much to go home after work? R u married? Do u have children? If family life is stressing u so and u want time to settele in to the rest of ur evening I suggest u go off in ur car to a quiet place where u can collect ur thoughts and feelings and come back to reality an hour or so later. It'll do wonders try it and see.

Find a place that you really like, set a specific amount of time to go there in the morning before you go to work and after 3:00. Do this daily, it's YOUR time and YOUR space. It will work wonders!

Coffee shop anywhere? Really popular among the young... hmmm... it might be loud time, but still, not having to rush home. Plus, they're warm for winter and cheap on the purse.
Library? Even to check out a quick magazine, or DVD you might want. You usually can get a card if you prove you work close-by... or the college library?
Maybe a pet shop one day, just to get a different perspective on life.
Test drive a car one day, for kicks.
Go to a little art gallery if there are any (art sutdents near by, right?)
Explore your area.
I was from Long Island, and there was so much to see, I hardly even knew what was there for needing to get around and ignore the rest of the world.
But I cherish each available place in my rural home!
Good luck!

find a hobby that allows you to get "your space" from what you are trying to avoid
