Hello,

(ANS) You need to use a compression program (also known as a zip program), one that is written for MAC's.

**I can highly recommend "STUFFIT" for appleMac's.

**A quick Yahoo or google.com search for "stuffit for Macs" should get you the details.

**Do bear in mind that email services were NOT orginally designed for the sending of large file attachments. If your file attachments are bigger than about 20megs, (despite a braodband connection) You might want to consider using FTP (file transfer protocol) this is a specific service used over the internet which allowing for the sending (uploading) and receiving (downloading) of larger sized files.

**Some ISP's dont like large email file attachments and may well set size limits on what you can send or receive. Some ISP's even strip out large file attachments if they are too big, so size does matter in this context. Just bear that in mind.

Although the previous answer is correct that Stuffit is the main program to use, unfortunately photos don't compress very well generally via this sort of program. This is because JPG is already a compressed format. A better way would be to open them in your image program and resave them with a higher level of compression - although you do lose quality permanently that way.
