How would someone draw huge graphics by computer? Do you zoom out, and then draw? Or do you cut the picture into pieces, and go from there? Please share with me your tips, and tricks, and possibly which program you use. And I mean really huge images. That you draw for prints.

Please no illustrator programs that allows you to blowup the image. I am familar with adobe illustrator. No I do not want to do vector art. If you plan on suggesting this don't answer at all.

I'm getting into comics, and art prints. So any program about comics would be most helpful. Thanks.

one good method is to make little thumbnails and pick the one you want to use and scale it up. The trick is to work general to specific, that way you don't need to zoom in much till the very end and you get good control of the direction that your piece goes, choosing to detail only the places that suits the composition.

programs? photoshop / painter
free programs? artrage / opencanvas

there are no "tricks" you need to get the fundamentals under your belt if you're just starting. Some kind of tablet is also needed (Wacom.com) if you seriously want to do computer illo. not vector art on the computer.
