Break up the ice with a spade, then shovel the ice and snow! :-))
If it is icy, walk in the snow, so you do not slip on the ice!
Try an auto parts store, they might still have some....

Put table salt in kitty litter. Works great, just make sure you have a good door mat to stomp on before you go indoors. Heehee.

it would take a lot, but dissolve table salt in water and throw it where the ice is.....not a good idea, but might work....

You can try sand, but that won't melt. Other than that, warm water or a higher temperature.

A huge blow drier might be handy.
But if it will lead to success,I VERY MUCH DOUBT THAT.
IT DOES HELP WITH FROZEN LOCKS.
