To put in such a mass of effort to be so sorely let down by a poor poor ending...
My worst game/s were
Snes - Jurassic Park - 4 hours straight playing required (no save feature) and all you have for an 'ending' is an overhead shot of the map to signify you left the island.
PS2 - MGS2 - This all went hideously downhill after raiden got naked... confusing plot, randomness and all together ending on a 'lets be nice to each other' message... totally uninspired!

Seabase Delta on the Zx Spectrum.
This was text adventure for the Zx Spectrum 48k. It too me five years to complete it and all I got was a text telling me well done on the screen.

To respond to the first answer given, Duck Hunt was and is still a good game. Anyway, a really bad game is any Final Fantasies. I just offended many people, i'm sorry, just not a fan of RPGs and anime.

Gladius. You spend the whole game creating your team, upgrading armor and weapons, and training for the annual Gladiator Games. Then right at the end, some lame demon comes up from hell, destroys the games, and you finish Gladius fighting something that looks like a demonic totem pole. Seriously. What a waste.

Every game experience I have had has had the worst ending in campaigns, because each one left me with nothing to do afterwards.
