To much schools are influenced by religion and political opinions. Schools should be guided by science. The main reason for poor test scores are found at home, no support for child and school. If things go wrong others get the blame never the parents.

hmmm thats what i often ask myself.

i am not from the usa but did some research on the subject.
as a young girl went to a catholic school where discipline was really strict. we were tld what colour of hair band to wear, what colour of socks, we basically marched our way to each and every class. teachers made sure everyone did his homework daily and would report any misbehaviour or any failure to do any homework.
no one dared to not do his hw or to not study for a test. everyone did his best effort eventhe less bright kids.

i didnt like the discipline way back but now i m glad i was sent to that school. everyone in the class got good marks even the kids who were clearly not so bright.

liberal media bias...everyone is afraid of a lawsuit or bad publicity..its never the fault of the child or parent...its always the school.
