Study very hard. Devote yourself to your work. Try to limit other things in your life that could serve as distractions. Also, sit in the front of the class, get away from your friends, always ask questions no matter how often. Keep a good relationship with the teacher, for example do not get in an argument with the teacher. The teacher may be less willing to answer your questions after such an incident. One more thing, surround yourself with positive people that have the same goals as yourself. Sometimes certain crowds can bring you down.

Try to concentrate in the class, when the teacher is teaching. You might not be getting time at home from ur homework. I can understand your problem because even i faced the same. You should develop your concentration power. For this you can go and study in the library.
Never omit the lesson or homework assinged to you if u omit it its like missing a train that u can never catch afterwards.
Always revise the work done in class and get your difficulties solved.
if memory work is assinged, learn it over night and repeat it the first thing in the morning.Repeat at the end of the week all that u have learnt during the week.
Realise the value of time. Do not wait till the approach of the exam. the key to success is regular and sincere work.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR GOD- GIVEN TALENT FOR WANT OF APPLICATION.
God bless you and if you still face some difficulties than write to me at prerana_velinkar@yahoo.co.in OR at pinkprerana@yahoo.co.in.
Best of luck for your coming exams.

It sounds like the biggest problem you are having is that you are finding it difficult to concentrate. I would say that there are a number of things that you can try. For starters, try finding some place that you can go to study that is quiet and away from distractions like people talking, television set being on, radio playing or windows with open views. Close the curtains, close the door to your room, turn off the t.v. and the radio and politely ask family members not to bother you during that time.
Do not overwhelm yourself with the information that you are trying to learn. Start off small. Allow yourself time to take breaks as well. Let's say you start off with researching one aspect of a country per night. Allow yourself time to study and take a 5-10 minute break once every hour or so to use the bathroom/get a drink/grab a healthy snack and stretch your body so you wont get fatigued as easily.
Try not to study too late at night so that you will be relaxed, but not so relaxed that you want to go to sleep.
Do not procrastinate. If you need to research something and be able to share your research by the end of the week... do not wait until the last minute to begin... you will only set yourself up for failure that way. Best bet, start as soon as you obtain the assignment!
If you are serious about making this your career choice in life, then you need to make sure that you remind yourself daily of how much you want this for your future and how important it is to study and obtain as many facts as you possibly can. Perhaps this little bit of motivation from your own perspective will be enough to help keep you on track a bit better in your study habits as well!!
If you would like, you can also do some online research to assist you in study habits. Try searching for "study tips" and see if that brings up any other useful tips for you.
I hope that I have at least helped you a tiny bit! Good luck in the future and in all that you do. I wish you the best

To come first in class ,first find out what is ur prevoius records r u a bright student or average? The cardinal rule to get best results are setting a target determination & Dedication .Make ur notes with two or three reference books ,try to understand the problams & not only mugging which is not very helpful. Study according to a time table with a time set for relaxation & sleep well atleast 5- 6 hrs a day.
Think positive & work towards it. Too much stress can actually be harmful & will make u confuse. Organise according to ur time table & exam date. Try to compare notes with ur friends & dont hesitate to consult teachers when feel like that. Eat well balanced nutrtional diet & go easy on soft drinks tea & too much coffee.U should try to do ur best & should not think too much about being first bcaz in aclass ony one person would be first. that does not mean 2nd or third are not good. Only try to achieve ur target of working hard & leave rest to GOD.

be regular from day 1. if u havent been already then work hard to cover up what you think is tough n try learning concepts instead of mugging up stuff. clear your doubts as soon as you can n also fix up some time for some of your special activities. but above all believe that you CAN stand 1st in class.

You should be attentive in class and carefully follow what the teacher teaches .You should do your daily lessons. After memorising the lessons you should write down all the important points in a paper. Go through the same lesson for 10 minutes daily.

Usually, coming first in class is neither a complete measure of comprehension of the subject nor is the measure of evolved brain as others would like to believe. Its only the measure of art of acing exams. So dont judge your grasp of the subject only from how you fare in class. But if you are reeling under outside pressure following tips may help:
1)Try developing skills according to the nature of the exams. eg if you are taking oral exam develop oral skills. if you taking written exams practice enough to develop writing skills.
2)Identify subjects that require you to study more from your past results
3) Have clear understanding of what does teacher expects you to know. Is it what she taught in class? Is it all that's there in textbook? Or is she/he going to test your subject comprehension in general? Ask teacher in person or ask some elder from your family to do that for you if you are shy enough to approach.
4)Attend your classes regularly, do your homework regularly and participate in as many class and school activities as possible.
5) Go through all relevant guides, self-study, workbooks or any study material that's available in the market for your class. This will give you variety of learning and thinking experience. Besides, you are likely to get a question from one such book only.
6) When you feel confident ask elder member from your family to set a question paper for you to give you enough practice. Let them know what parameters they need to consider before they design a question paper for you.
Hope you do ace in your exam. If you dont you have learnt one more way of not acing an exam. Next time you should work on the area which you failed to consider last time.
