Take up astronomy. My guess is your lack of time is during the day, not at night. You can go out after your classes or after a long day of work. It isn't that expensive to start (a hundred or so for a decent starter telescope and some good books) and there's massive amounts of things to look at. If you really like it, you can then join sky-watcher clubs that meet usually once every couple of weeks.

Just a thought - would you like to learn to scrapbook? It is something that you can do at your own pace, and once you buy the basics it isn't really expensive. I think that scrapping is not monotonous because the topic always changes, as well as the colors, themes, designs, etc. You could kill 2 birds with one stone- scrapbooks make great gifts.

all work and no play as they say.... What I would say is that you need to "find" physical exercise - any kind bike riding, power walking, rowing. The endorphins that exercise releases are like free Prozac. Brilliant!! And of course the bonus is you are healthier and stronger.

You need to cut back at work. It was your hobby, and should be fun.
Maybe knitting - I've heard people unwind knitting.
