Why is "c%nt" considered such an offensive word? It just sounds delicious to me.

Some feminists seek to reclaim **** as an acceptable word for the female genitalia, in the interest of removing the power associated with its use. Some abhor the word and regard it, based on its more recent connotation, as degrading and misogynistic. It has also been suggested that "vagina" is equally offensive as it literally means "scabbard" in Latin [8].

Some reject an exclusively negative connotation as inherently sexist towards women, and claim that insult is an inappropriate usage for a word used to epitomise femaleness.

It depends upon the person and their experiences with it. A person who has had a barrage of expeletives thrown at them, including that one, will not react favorably to it. On the other hand, a person who has had little experienc with the word can still be 'offended' by its use simply because of the vast negative associations others have made of it.

Words are only as offensive as the time and place in which they are presented. One can produce 'offense' in another person by not using any explicit words at all; this is the essence of sarcasm (oh he is suuuuuuuuuch a NICE person.) So it depends upon the person. Good rule of thumb is to try and become aware of in what context you are using the word. If you find yourself saying "that c^$% is back again," its more than likely that other people will infer a negative connotation with it, and understandably so.

Cvnt sounds like a bag of dried up flaky vaginal juices to me.
Pvssy sounds like a bag of very wet slushy and lumpy vaginal juices to me.
That is why I despise both words.
Vagina sounds like a clean, fresh and natural vagina. I wish people would use it more, the word, that is, it has a type of mythological feel to it.

What's surprising is that the word penis sounds miniscule and I detest it. I actually love the word c@ck, it sounds manly. Isn't that strange of me?

It's just a nasty word. Women hate it. Use something else. There's quite a few around.

So if I called you a douche bag, would you be offended? After all it just a hygiene product.
