Nanna oh, nanna oh,
il mio bambino a chi lo do?
Lo darò al suo angiolino
che lo tenga in sul mattino,
lo darò alla befana
che lo tenga una settimana.
Nanna oh, nanna oh
il mio bambino a chi lo do?
Lo darò al suo cherubino
che lo tenga sé vicino.
Lo darò a Gesù e Maria,
fai la nanna e così sia.
Nanna oh, nanna oh......

this bed is too small for your tiredness
you need a hilltop with trees
tuck a cloud up under your chin
Lord blow out the moon please.....
I used to insert their name in the "your" places they love it and sing it now as teens....

Not so much a lullaby but there's a gentle Christmas Carol called "Candlelight Carol" ... the opening verse goes:
How do you capture the wind on the water
How do you count all the stars in the sky
How do you measure the love of a Mother
And you do you write down a baby's first cry.
I sing a LOT and after my baby was born there were MANY songs I couldn't sing without crying for several months. I sing in choirs and I had my baby in late November 2005... during the Christmas season, baby blues and all that... there were quite a few songs that made me cry that year!!!
Another one that did it every time was Roger Whittaker's holiday song, "Christmas is here again." Actually that one still made me well up this past Christmas too...
All that I want is to be here beside you,
All that I need is right here in my arms,
All that I want is to know that you love me,
And this will be my finest Christmas time.
Thanks for a great question!!
Take care.

Artist: Amy Grant Lyrics
Song: River Lullaby
Hush now, my baby
Be still love, don't cry
Sleep like you're rocked by the stream
Sleep and remember
My lullaby
And I'll be with you when you dream
Drift on a river
That flows through my arms
Drift as I'm singing to you
I see you smiling
So peaceful and calm
And holding you, I'm smiling, too
Here in my arms
Safe from all harm
Holding you, I'm smiling, too
Hush now, my baby
Be still, love, don't cry
Sleep like you're rocked by the stream
Sleep and remember this river lullaby
And I'll be with you when you dream
I'll be with you when you dream

I believe all the ones mentioned here are precious...
But what I sing to my baby is whatever comes to mind in a sweet, low tone of voice... And I tell him how beautiful and precious he is to me and how much I love him.
This way he has a different song every day.

a song by the Dixie Chicks, I am not sure of the name.
Dragon tails and the water is white
Pirates sail and lost boys fly
Fish find moon beams every night
and I love you.
God Speed little man
Sweet dreams little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night
on angels wings.
God speed sweet dreams.
Rocket racers all tuckered out
Supermans in pajamas on the couch
Good night moon will find the mouse
and I love you.
God speed little man.
Sweet dreams little man.
Oh my love will fly to you each night
on angels wings.
God speed, sweet dreams.
God bless mommy and match box cars
God bless dad and thanks for the stars
God hears amen wherever you are
and I love you.
God speed little man
Sweet dreams little man.
Oh my love will fly to you each night
on angels wings.
God speed sweet dreams.
God speed sweet dreams.

You'll probably think this is weird, but I used to sing GNR's Don't Cry to my daughter when she was little.
"Don't you cry tonight, there's a heaven above you baby",etc. She's 7 now and asks me to play it for her every once in a while.
