Instead of letting the Government or Media promote what they think you are why not make a country coalition of "Good"Americans who want peace and love throughout the world to promote America in a good light and not how GWB and Fox make it to be.

Listen I don't know if you are old enough to remember the peace movements in the 60's and 70's but they were not good times. You peaceful people started riots, destroyed the family unit, ushered in the drug culture that has cost this country immeasurably, and spit on soldiers that returned who mostly didn't want to go either. The lack of foresight and the selfishness of that movement still is damaging the country.

You think that you are doing right but your not. When we left Vietnam Pol Pot slaughtered over 1/7 of the population of Cambodia( that is 1.5 million people out of a population of 7 million). This country has never been the same. The view of the country they managed to project was one of cowardice and selfish hedonism. I respect that you think war is wrong,we all do whether you believe it or not, but their are those in the world that just hate and kill any that oppose them.If this were not so we would not need police forces. Our military and military campaigns are in the same category. Those we fight have proved they will invade other countries not to give it back to the citizens as we do but to take it as their own. They prove they care none what so ever that those they kill are not fighting them ( the twin towers or what Saddam did to the Kurds). We go out of our way to avoid civilian casualties, so much so that we have difficulty in winning and our soldiers are open to murder charges during a war.

The light the world sees us in in the end means little if we are attacked and do not do something about it.What light are we seen in when we treat dictators who act as if they own their citizens as we treat honorable governments where the citizen are the government.

Who, exactly, do I or any other good & honorable American citizen need to promote my country's wonderful quality of life, unequaled personal freedoms, & compassionate population TO?

I don't need to brag or otherwise make pronouncements about how good we have it here or pretend we don't have serious domestic issues like evry country in the world. And besides if I did promote my homeland many would be quick to say I'm conceited & shallow like most Americans...they claim.

But as for good & honorable Americans, & for the record that certainly includes President Bush & probably 98% of our other citizens who have chosen to serve in elected office, we work hard, play hard, & take exception when our families & very way of life are threatened by cowards who are jealous of our way of life & intolerant of OUR religious beliefs.

We don't make any secret about defending the blessings our ancestors bestowed upon us, & we'll share them w most any inhabitant of the planet willing to embrace our principles (& that doesn't mean our religion or heritage)

We're good neighbors on this big rock we call Earth!! Give us a chance & don't believe the hype!!

The media is much louder than we are.

Actually, the confused liberal-minded democrats who can't live without lying about their own country are very few in number.

In most polls, conservatives outnumber liberals about 2-1, and there are more "undecided" and independants than both combined. There are a considerable number of Americans who love their country and support it and aren't afraid to say so.

(And there are a growing number of democrat strategists who are showing dismay at the stupidity of the democrats who have taken Congress. Frequently, when interviewed, even democrats are complaining that their representitives don't have a plan for doing anything an never really did, especially with regard to Iraq.)

The Democrat Party and the News Media never say anything good about the USA.

Fox News stands up for America.... and is hated for doing it.

I spend too much time during the day working and caring for my children to promote the United States 'good' points.

Sorry, but the bad light is shed by the liberal media. Peace and love is a wonderful thing, but not when people are getting slaughtered on a daily basis around the world. The easy thing to do is put the blinders on, the hard part is to stop the reality.

I've seen nuts on both the left side and the right spouting complete nonsense... it's good that politics is looked at seriously, but I think a lot of the issues are a bit of a wind up

Bush is a Good and honorable American. And there are allot more of us. But the folks who talk on TV and other media depend on ratings. Controversy increases ratings. So the world sees the most extreme controversial spin on every thing.

And how do you suggest we do that? It is very hard to portray us in a good light when our elected leaders care more about personal agendas and politics than what is good for the country or the world.
