Yes, both from his Mother Mary's side (Mary was an only Child, and as such, she was the sole inheritor of King David's Throne from her Father even though female. This is important, because Jewish law said that if the only surviving child was female, she was allowed to inherit, and she did).
Then his step-father Joseph, too, was of DIRECT DESCENT from King David. And, upon marrying the pregnant mother claimed the child as HIS. So, from his Father, David he too inherited the Throne of David as well as being a direct descendant from Mary. So, either way, he was of direct descent!!! Thus, either way, he was of Royal Blood and the true King of the Jews. The reason there was no Throne was because in 600 BC the Babylonians carried the Jews (10 tribes) to Babylon and kept them there for 70 years or so, when they returned, many, many facts of Jewish life were lost. This is when the false Macabbee Kings started ruling in the place of King Davids line. That lasted only a few centuries and died out.
So, yes, he was of David and Solomans Blood.

I think from King David - and the Bible does say '.....of blood from a royal line.' Did David descend from Soloman or did Soloman descend from David? It must have been from Mary's line, though, as Joseph was not his father! Have another look and let us know what you come up with!

Historians accept without any doubt that Jesus was an actual person. There is abundant evidence of His life. I find it very annoying at the arrogance of some who come on here and simply say "he is a myth, or didn't exist". For believers of course, Christ is the Son of God. However His Foster Father, St Joseph, was of the line of King David and apparently Mary was distantly related to Joseph before they married, therefore, from Our Lady's lineage, there would be Royal Blood. This is why the wise men brought the gifts they did. Gold, signified that Christ was indeed a King. Frankincense was to signify Christ's Divinity and Myrrh signifying burial was to fortell that Christ would be cut down.

True/False. Both true and false because it depends how literal you're being.
Jesus is God's Son, born of Mary who was related somewhere along the line to David, who is related to David hence the writings that state He is from the House of David and in this way has 'royal blood'. However, one could argue (and I do) that God is the King of Kings and Jesus, His Son, is the Prince of Peace and therefore royalty.

Fiction, he was actually a descendent of King David, though I could be wrong, I don't remember Solomon being related to King David. Anyway Jesus was a distant relative, so he didn't get to live the royalty life. He was a very common person.

Two of the gospels, Mark and Luke, give very long genealogies, obviously trying to establish that he was descended from the house of David. Just two problems - first, they both trace back through Joseph, when other parts of the gospels say that Joseph was NOT jesus's father, so how can he have and royal blood via him? And secondly, the two accounts are completely contradictory! They hardly have any names in common! They can't even agree on the name of his grandfather!
Not very impressive for the holy word of god, eh?

No, but after he died and St Paul did his bit and JC became the Messiah, it was claimed the he was descended from David. That was necessary, because in the Old Testament, it was foretold that the Messiah would be from the house of David.
Well, you couldn't have someone from the house of Fred becoming the Messiah when the prophets have said that he would be from the house of David, could you? It would make no sense! So now, everyone believes it's David, not Fred. I think it's Fred myself!

Yes , He was a descendant of King David.
But, more importantly, He is King of kings and Lord of lords.
When He was being tried His enemies said we have no king but Caesar.....millions since have said, "WE have no king but Jesus"
