I've lost all patience for sitting thru ads. I rarely watch anything live anymore, so I don't care when my favorite shows air. That said, NBC is definitely gambling by putting Heroes up against 24. I love both, but 24 is 10 times better. Heroes is still finding itself, could eventually be great. 24 is top shelf, every minute of every episode.

Not the worst thing in the world. Have you checked out the fact that Heros is also playing on Friday nights on the SciFi station, and is playing the same things. This should make your life a bit better. I have 2 TIVos and have one set on each, but I think Heros is on at 8:00 est, so, unless there is something that you watch then you can watch Heros then. Of course, doesn't NBC play their shows on the net for free right after they have been on TV, so you could catch it that way? Also, I think iTunes has both shows, I know it's $1.99 for a show, but if you really want to see something, well you have to try and work it out. You can always get a second TV, get a small one, and get a cheap TIVo, they aren't that expensive, and the cost for a second Tivo plan is much less money than for the first.
Hope this helps you not feel so bad. I'd like to say it's only TV, but hell, I feel as badly about some shows as you do. Why do you think I have 2 TIVo's and trying to get the third working, but am using an old video deck for now.

I never got into 24 (but it looks so good), so it's not an issue. I think they are definately going to be testing the mettel of Heros by doing this. But with tivo, and satalite, and time shift options people will still see both. As to how it will affect the rankings?

That is Why there is Tivo. ButI am watching Heroes. It is really the only regular show i watch anymore. All of my favorite ones (charmes, Buffy, Friends) Have been taken off air.
But last season, wasn't it at the same time? But if. you miss it, you can watch it on NBC's website without the commercials. The web site is: http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/

I'm not, both shows suck. You people need to get a life, who cares about save the cheerleader crap, just saying it sounds retarded.
I know a lot of people who agree today's TV shows are crap compared to the good ol' days. I mean Lost, Heroes, Studio (whatever that is), 24, My Name Is Earl????? Should I continue??? Today's TV is piece of junk. Just take a look at all the "reality" shows, please. And today's sitcoms are so abysmal it's not even funny. Except for a few shows like The Office and all of HBO the rest is crap.
