Same here. I couldn't wait for the movie to come out, and I was so disappointed! They made it into an action type flick, while quickly skimming over all the important details. It was like a brief summary. They could have done so much better. There is alot of theory, and debate over the Davinci code, so much to elaborate on. This movie totally missed the point in order to cash in.

I think is has changed views, but only because people aren't educated enough on both sides. I'm not a religious person, but I do know that much of the DaVinci Code was made up to make the book seem more plausible. I have read the DaVinci Code and I've seen the movie. I have not read Angels & Demons. I've also spent some time reading arguments against the book as well. I actually enjoyed the book. I didn't believe what he was saying, but it was still a pretty good book. The movie on the other hand was a big disappointment.

I havent seen yet and havent read yet any of them, but i have played the game. And i am really keen to watch the film. Well, for me, in books we keep imagining about the charecters and events, but in movies everything is viewd so well with the background music and every other themes, and soon you get to know what is the story about as a whole. That makes it perferable to me to watch the movie than read the book.

I haven't had the courage to rent the movie yet. I liked the book so much I'm afraid of being disappointed.
My only interest in the movie is to find out if she really drives a Smart car.

will I liked them both but I prefer the book cause the movie is re-written to be short. I've been shocked when I saw the movie & it leanght was 2:30, it should've been longer.
If thery did the same thing with Angel & Demons I'll have a secong thought about going to watch it.

book, just like every book that's been made into a movie. there is so much good stuff in this book that can't possibly be done in 2 hours. the movie could have been better in my opinion. sophie should have been hotter, and tom hanks was a bad choice. the guy that did batman returns would have made a better langdon

I liked the book better

it is really hard to get all the info into just a 2 hour movie

with a book you invest more time and get more involved in the characters

The book is much better because you can picture the characters however they seem to you and all the info can't be squeezed into a couple hours. Also you can read the book at your own pace.

Neither. The movie was an hour too long and I refuse to read the book on the grounds that it would make me a walking cliche`.

I also prefer the book. It has more info and is clearer. The movie was very fast so they did not explain everything in detail. And also, everything is so dark in the movie. I think the book is better.
