Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle Earth
It's a musical masterpiece, the classical arrangements and the distorted guitars are fused into a perfect mix, the polyphonic singing of all the four members is just superb and the entire CD it a tightly knit unit, varying and refreshingly different, but unmistakably whole.

'Good Mourning' by Alkaline Trio, because its full of really catchy songs, the cover is a cardboard which I think is really, and it's red and black and it's got the band on the front, and it's Alkaline Trio written in this really gothic font. The whole red, black and white (writing) colour scheme. My fav tracks are: this could be love, we've had enough, one hundred stories, every thug needs a lady, blue carolina and donnes party (all night long).
Other albums I think are cool are:
The Clash- Combat Rock
The Ramones- End of The Century
Blondie- Parallel Lines
The Buzzcocks- Ever Fallen in Love

Interpol -- Turn on the Bright Lights
Any album that I can put on repeat and listen to ELEVEN times in one sitting, without getting sick of hearing the same songs over and over is worth idolizing. Each song works by itself, and on multiple levels, and the whole is certainly greater than the sum of the parts. That is, it's one of those rare albums that works as a complete artistic piece, rather than just a succession of individually cool songs.
Pity their second album, Antics, more or less sucked except for two songs.

Master Of Puppets - Metallica. The cover is beautiful, the songs are a complex mix of brutal and beautiful and the lyrics encapsulate a treacherous world.

The Johnny Cash cd that has "Hurt" on it. (I've got it but can't think of the title-sorry.) He put some original music on it, and he did some other folks stuff. I always loved the song "Hurt" and I love Trent Reznor, but Johnny Cash owned that song! I mean, he gave it a whole different depth. He also does a cover of "In My Life" which makes me cry every time.
Excellent music on that disc. You can't go wrong with Johnny Cash!
