i have written a book, and am looking to put it in an audiobook format, on cd, cassette, and eventually to a downloadable e-book or on ipod. my wife says that audiobooks do NOT sell, and that i shouldn't waste my time. should i put my horror novel in audio format, or should I listen to her?

Well, obviously some audiobooks sell. Store shelfs at bookstores are full of them, so there is a market. Issue would be the extent to which their sales go beyond best sellers in a given category. You might want to check out audible.com to see the range of items they see it as worthy to offer.

I have lots of friends who listen to these often while driving, especially long trips--but to be fair much of the ones they use are from the local library.

I work in a bookstore. The only audio books that sell (in my experience) are the ones that are well know. Then it's usually people with bad eye sight or the truckers that drive long hours. I would to talk to an editor or an agent. They might be able to give you some free advice.

i spotted 2 issues that truly stood out for me. First, as has been already reported, the clause approximately changing something refers especially to Revelation. on the different hand, that's placement on the tip accomplishes 2 issues. a million) It mirrors extra heavily the format of the OT, and a pair of) It grants a climactic end to the finished tale. 2d, your source for the chronological order of the bible is purely slightly off. as an occasion, the Gospel in accordance to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles is actual one letter. for this reason, once you are going to confirm it chronologically, you may desire to examine Acts earlier the different 2 gospels. or maybe that's assuming the historians have the dates the terrific option. there remains some debate approximately that. besides. to respond to your question, no, it does not make any distinction.

I know that libraries buy them and 3 women that I work with listen to them everyday. But they are published and also available in the store. It might be risky until you know for sure that it is selling in book form.
