The greatest QB to never WIN one was, hands down, Dan Marino. (Marino LOST in a super bowl....also Jim Kelly was a great on that never WON one....but he WENT to 4 IN A ROW!!! that is an amazing feat that has not and probably never will happen again because of free agency)
Two QB's come to mind as the greatest to NEVER have gone to one. Equally talented, Randall Cunningham and Warren Moon.
*edit - I would not count current players....they still have a chance and it is yet to be seen who are the best!!

At this point, Peyton Manning. He just can't seem to get passed the AFC Championship (although, to his credit, his losses there have been to the eventual Super Bowl Championship).
Dan Marino went to SBXIX, but lost to Montana.

probably Dan Marino in days gone by. but currently, it would have to be Peyton Manning. i am NOT a univ. of tn fan, but i started liking Manning when he went to the NFL. he has accomplished a lot, and i hope he gets to the super bowl this year. but it will be tough to get past the pats.

Norm Van Brocklin or any of the old timers who played before there was a super bowl.

Marino went to a super bowl his rookie year, losing big time to the 49ERS. So I would probably have to say.......Peyton Manning.
