You have 2 live wires. Permanent live which goes to battery and stores your time date and radio chanels programmed in.
The other should go to the ignition wire at back of stereo.
That would swith it off when ignition off.
Failing all that messing around. Just switch it off when you turn car off. Wont do any harm

Yes it's absolutely normal. Mine does the same too. In a Punto the only things that remain 'active' (still have current in them and so can be used) after taking out the key out of engine are the radio, horn and the hazard lights. All the other things will be switched off.

The punto has 2 perm live wires and a switched power. When you put a new stereo in you need to connect the switched power to the stereo which is the green/blue wir from the car. If you use the standard connections as they are, without changing, then you end up connecting 2 perm lives. See the haynes manual wiring diagram.

Commonly the radio goes off when the keys are removed, and I would have said someone's fiddled with the wiring except that I've heard of that with Puntos before. Probably, therefore, it is normal for that car. Don't forget to tuirn it off!

Well... I have a Fiat Bravo and the radio stays on when I take keys out of engine, but after aprox. 10 min. it turnes off automaticly. Maybe it's the same in your case.
Good luck!

It's normal for your car. some cars do have the radio independent of the switch. While my radio can still beplayed without turning the engine controls on you still have to use the switch.
But yours is evidently not connected to the swithc. Just turn it off and you'll be ok.

If I am correct, your radio has been hooked up directly to your battery. I believe it has bypassed something. The alternater, maybe. You should have it wired properly. You could kill your battery if you forget to turn your radio off.
