What steps can we all take to leave the world clean and habitable for future generations?

teach children not to curse that is your first step. then teach them that violence isnt the answer. teach them that there is no such thing as "world peace" but you need to get as close as you can get. teach them to want to have a good life. tell them that looks arent everything and that looks can only get you 25% of the way.
tell them the truth about stuff because children hold grudges.
and last of all... teach them that you love them. spend time with them play their faveorite game no matter how stupid it may seem, because children spell LOVE T-I-M-E. oh yeah and another thing. try not to embarras them TOO much.

Judging by the large swathe of anti-social youth/children all I can say is God help the planet. They need discipline, through which they will themselves become more responsible and better members of the human race.

Good Education and moral values.That is the bestway.The govt should take care of poor and orphan children.Education should be made free up to Graduation Level.
