If you are refering only to the human beings, please remember that we are one amongst many such creations. In his own inimitable style , the creator has created magnanimous things in the universe and we are just a speck in that galaxy.

Possibly tired of too much creation , all the time , God must have thought of sharing the responsibility and gave the Humnas power to create. God gave a lot of his own powers too and he would have wanted to see the humans as a reflection of himself. But man seems to have exceeded his brief and is challenging God himself.

Being benovalence personified God will not get angry or punish the humans but allow the man a long rope to correct himself. Today , as desired by the creator man is turning more and more spiritual, though simultaneously self destruction is also going on.

Lemme get this straight....the diameter of the Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light years, exceeds ordinary human comprehension...right? a time interval vastly greater than all of human history.

Another thousand times farther takes us to distant cluster of galaxies, but even then, that would be less than one ten-thousandths of a percent of the observable Universe. We are mere specks in an abyss of time and space.

With that backgroud, you're telling me that there's a supernatural being or sentient lifeform out there that's worried about wanting something from me?....don't make me laugh.

Did you know that there's a certain percentage of scientists who believe in God, even Einstein spoke of him often. But the greatest number of non-believing scientists are the astonomers.

The hundred billion galaxies of our visible universe, each with a hundred billion stars, makes us but a grain of sand on the Sahara, grown out of that original "pure vacuum" or nothingness.

Your question brought to mind a Star Trek episode. This god was lamenting the realization that people no longer need him and his existence became superfluous. And so he vanishes. The implication of course is that there is no god when people think there is no god...or is there another interpretation?

Sorry. The question is too weighty for me to tackle right now.

he's like you when u held that big magnifying glass over the anthill.

he gave us free will. he lead us to the water, but u can't force a horse to drink....
or like gwen stefani says : wind em up!!

bascially. we're just monkies w/ a larger brain. we have the same social strife/behaviors as a baboon troop but the ony difference is we can 'talk' and make stuff. whoopdeedoo.

ever get amazed that a lion or tiger will teach its cubs to hunt, hide, or follow without saying a "word"?? dolphins too. they're completely efficient on so many levels.

i think we "devolved"...
we're too dependent on technology to get the job done.
we're rotting and becoming 'cows'.
i wish i was a monkey again-
we were too busy then to think up things like taxes or interest.
why cant we be pre-programmed like baby turtles or sharks or something? so we dont have to waste the first 25-30yrs 'figuring' life out. boom, they're born and they start living.

ever think that tribesmen are 'devolved' as well? i actually think they're low-waste completely stress-free, efficient people. third world or homeless people are 'dirtier and grimer' and less productive overall (mentally stable ones anyway). as a whole, its our fault to pass down 'ignorance' and not knowledge to live. give a man a fish, he's eats. teach a man to fish and he lives.

i used to think rainforest people were 'not advanced' but why would they 'develop' or destroy the very thing that gives them their food? if anything, pollution wise, they live in complete harmony w/ nature. we could learn a thing or two. i strongly believe if a nuclear winter were to hit us, the "pre-electronic" people (amish, tribesman) will inherit the earth b/c they are self-sustaining. al-queda peeps are pretty 'smart'. humans like to think we're so 'advanced' since birth of 'civilization' some 3500 yrs ago and that was then and its 'different' now.

Human nature has always been the same then as it is now. Its just the things (materialistic) around us have changed. So inside, we're all capable of the violence of Hitler and the Aztec days. Or thinking and feeling it anyhow. So fakers out there and 'righteous' people. suck it. ur human. deal with it.

But seriously, if u think about it simply, the area where weather was stable (mediterranean) allowed people the time to 'think' about other stuff since they didn't have to 'chase' their food anymore. heh. im amazed at the efficiency of early civilizations had in managing huge empires efficiently w/o the latest technology and so forth. people like to think early civilizations were made from aliens. The human mind has a capacity limit, its not infinite and we're essentially all the same inside, all copies of one. So of course the 'original' idea of a pyramid or a 'higher power' is going to pop up. Ideas are bound to show up again on the other side of the world.

There's set patterns and cycles in life, once you 'see' it that's it. That's what science and math shows us-- "discoveries" and formulas are there to explain to us what already 'is' and has been. Life is all one big pattern or organism. That's why you need to find your 'niche' or 'place' in life. The seasons will always come and go, the sun will always rise and set.

And ideas will always get 'humans' in trouble. race, issues, religion, sex, power, politics. Ideas are dangerous, they don't put food on the table. they're useless. Sometimes i think we just need to keep it simple. Maybe being so 'smart' is a drawback, w/intelligence you lack common sense. There's always going to be violent crazies, smart people, dumb people and people who believe in paranormal and god. that'll never change. I think God is within us, who thunk him up in the first place?

as it is mentioned in the Bible, God created us in His own likeness. therefore, God created us that we may serve as mediators between him and the rest of creation. He created mankind that we may care for the rest of creation and to serve as His instruments in putting His divine will into action.

Man exists as a proof of God's love. Mankind is His ultimate masterpiece. Supposedly set above all other creations, man was given conscience and free will.

with God's divine plan, mankind is made to exist to find his/her true purpose and act on behalf of it. that way, life is given meaning.

Now if there were a God and He did actually create us it's either because He's a Total Control Freak or He has a perverse sense of humour!

I was studying this very idea yesterday.....

and I have concluded that we were created for purpose... that purpose is not only to learn how to make amends with our life and around others, but to serve Him before an end of time is brought about......

Would you like to see the world destroyed again?.... No... So it is that we were created so as to weed out the bad who reside among us......

As Creed would say: "I've created my own prison"......

For all we know, it could be great fun watching little incompetent beings fighting with each other, messing up things and praying to God to set everything right!!
