i have ubuntu os on cd but i need it on floppy, how do i do this?

The file is too big!

Just run your boot from the cd

Reverse Ur Question, Floppy to CD...
but if u r sure buy 488 Floppies to copy whole data. I think u r tring to maek boot cd of Ubuntu. Refer their website for this.

Your file that is on CD must be less than 1.44Mb otherwise it can't be transferred, the capacity of the floppy disk is very limited.

CD-ROM storage capacity is 700Mb
3.5" Floppy Disk storage capacity is 1.44Mb

It's like trying to pour a pint into a thimble.

the CD capacity is 700 MB
the floppy capacity is 1.4 MB

you can,t put 700mb of info on a 1.44 mb floppy, you can put it on a usb drive, if you search the linux sites, some are selling pendrives preloaded with linux distros for around 60$

you cannot copy your OS on floppy because its size is too large

u might be looking for the boot disk of that os, not the actual operating system itself. try downloaading it.

U cant,the floopy drive can only store for about 2MB of memory
